Ebay item 9/13/13
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-E-Type-Convertible-Jaguar-1973-XKE-Roadster-Conversion-4 ...
Current bid $12,100.00
Reserve price not met, 8 bids 6 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
This Jaguar started life as a 2+2 and went thru a professional conversion to a Roadster in the early 1990s. Probably done in Atlanta. The convertible top looks good and the assembly works properly. Purchased from the estate of the second owner who had owned it since 1995. Car came from the factory with 4 speed and air which is a desirable combination. Runs good and drives good. Makes a great driver for someone.

Mechanics: Runs and drives great. No problems so far.

Body: Paint looks good but has some age flaws. Undercarriage is solid.

Chrome: Ding on windshield post on drivers side. Flaws on rear bumper and right front. Wire wheels have some pitting but still look very nice.

Upholstery: The leather seats have the usual cracking that come with age but still look good and sit very well. Carpet and the rest of the leather is excellent. Dashboard is in very good original condition.

Like I said this car will make a great driver.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
