The vehicle in question originally went to the USA, and according to the original invoice had been equipped with a radio, spoke rims and air conditioning. The vehicle’s history can be accounted for thanks to extensive documentation at hand. The mileage of approximately 8,000 km is also substantiated by credible sources. The paintwork had been renewed by a previous owner who happened to be a Jaguar collector. Owing to its original state, Richard T. Russ used this vehicle as a point of reference in his book “A Guide to Authenticity”. The current owner has possessed this Jaguar since 2006 and has since renewed mechanical wearing parts such as gaskets, tubes, brakes etc. in order to adapt the vehicle’s technical condition to its appearance. This wildcat is immediately ready for use, even if the true Jaguar enthusiast will not wish to take its unique maidenly status.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
