Ebay item 4/16/16
www.ebay.com/itm/121957161569

Current bid $1,225.00
Reserve not met 2 bids 8 days left in auction, buy it now price $120,000. Seller jagwillie1, 26k miles.

Sellers description:
This is a low mileage (26,000) number matching car that we are offering for sale. It is a four speed with A/C (that works). The car has a rust free body with a fresh paint job. The gaps are good and the panel alignment is good also. There has never been any rust repair or body damage to it.

Steering, suspension, carbs, and brakes have all been gone through, it has Koni shocks installed, as well as a new stainless exhaust system, the 5 tires are new also.

There is a jack, an original boot cover and an original owner's manual. All the maintenance and repairs for 30 years have been done by Bassett's.

The interior is the correct russet and was done by Bassett's. The leather is Connollys and has the proper pattern for the perforations and the small curved lines beside the holes. All the vinyl work is done with matching russet ambla. I don't believe that this interior is possible to duplicate today. The convertible top is British vinyl and was also made by Bassett's.

The car has been owned by the same person for 30 years and has a clear title. It is being sold to help reduce the size of a large collection.

Equipment includes a black convertible soft top and boot cover, air conditioning, a push-button AM radio, and 15” knock-off wire wheels. The car was sold new by Winer Motors in Stratford, Connecticut, and was acquired by the selling dealer in 2021. This Series III E-Type is offered by the selling dealer in Indiana with a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate and an Illinois title.

The car is finished in silver and features V12-badging on the trunk lid as well as a black convertible soft top with a matching boot cover. Equipment includes chrome trim, front and rear bumper guards, hood louvers, and dual central exhaust outlets. The convertible top is shown in its raised and lowered positions in the photo gallery below.

Chrome-finished 15” wire wheels wear knock-off hubs and Firestone all-season tires. The car is equipped with four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, and an independent front and rear suspension.

The cabin is trimmed in Russet leather with a matching center armrest, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes air conditioning, a push-button AM radio, a dash-mounted Kienzle clock, and a lockable glovebox.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 26k miles, and total mileage is unknown.

The 5.3-liter V12 features four Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and was rated at 241 horsepower when new. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.

Engine number 7S16372LA is stamped on the block and matches the number indicated on the chassis plate and the Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission.

The Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate lists the original colors as well as component numbers and delivery information.

The Illinois title is listed as a duplicate.
