Sellers description:
1974 Jaguar E-Type OTS (Open Two Seater). This is a one owner car but has been neglected and sitting in their garage for several years. If you are looking for an original car to restore then you need look no further. This is the last year for the E-Type and it comes with Jaguar's V12 engine and a four speed transmission. It is a numbers matching car with mostly all original parts.
Vehicle Condition
Our restoration center which specializes in Jaguar restoration has inspected the car. The leather interior is in poor shape from sitting and is severly cracked and dry rotted. The hood (top) needs to be replaced but is in good condition and not leaking. One roof bow is broken. All maintenance needs to be performed although we changed the oil & filter to get it running. We replaced the battery. The engine runs poorly missing on two or three cylinders but may be OK with a tune-up and carb overhaul. All rubber seals need to be replaced. All rubber suspension parts need replaced. The clutch needs to be replaced and is at the top of its travel. The wire wheels are in great shape but the tires need to be replaced. Three of the four rear shocks are leaking and the fourth is blown out. Brakes work well but the fluid is dark. The body is in decent shape with only minor rust showing up. It looks to have the original paint. All in all this car will make a great restoration project someone.
