Ebay item 5/18/09
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $16,100 reserve not met, 10 bids 5 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
This is a rust free California car that shows 35,000 miles. When I bought the car someone had transplanted a Chev 350 into it.
The engine had some issues as well I wasn't happy with the quality of the transplant so I re did the mounts etc. and went with a custom built 427 CI small block Chev
Part of the challenge was not to cut or weld anything on the car in case someone wanted to restore it at some time.
The engine features Eagle crank and rods,a new Dart M block.CNC port matched aluminium Victor Jr. heads and intake. roller cam and so on. Probably the most dificult part of the transplant was making the headers.
The end result is a 3000 pound car with a perfect 50/50 front to rear weight balance
The car looks stock and is fun to drive.

Car returns to ebay 7/9/15
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-E-Type-/141713987692
Current bid US $8,100 reserve not met 4 bids 6 days left in auction, buy it now price $39,000. Car now said to be in Halifax, Nova Scotia, 37k miles.
Sellers description:
Rust free 1974 Jaguar E-Type Series 3 OTS convertible roadster
Mild custom with 427 Short Block Chevrolet crate engine and T10 4 speed manual.
This roadster is from Southern California, imported to Canada in 2003 with mileage of 31,298. Kept warm and dry since and the mileage today is 37,575
Straight and rust free. The body and paint are in good condition with some imperfections.
Robbins soft top was installed in 2004 and is in good overall condition with exception to one noticeable nick in it. Interior and lower console need refurbishment work.
This roadster had a 350 Chev in it when purchased by the previous owner and the original engine and transmission were not available. The previous owner spent significant time, money, and effort completing a 427 SBC transplant. This crate engine comes complete with Dart block, custom crank, rods and pistons, CNC port matched edelbrock intake and aluminium heads, and custom 1 3/4" headers. The previous owner stated that no cutting welding or drilling was done in the process - I can't be sure so I'll let the pictures do the talking. Brand new clutch hydraulic actuator installed.
More recently an inspection was completed with request to provide a detailed list of items to address, and the following items were listed:
Engine tune up
Door adjustment
Incorrect wiper blades
Hood safety latch needs adjusting
Heater fan not working
Window washer not working
High beam, parking, and hazard lights not working
Fuel return line not working (currently operating as returnless), and leak detected at line coupling
One horn working, and the other not working
LH header close to P/S fitting
Oil leak L/R engine
Engine/trans/and exhaust mounts require isolation
Brake squeal
Ball joint + bushings all around
Rad fan not functioning. Thermo switch not currently connected
Replace brake flex hoses and fix brake and fuel lines to body
Although drive-able, this Jaguar needs some attention to get it over the finish line.
The direction I was planning on was in Jaguar purist fashion to fit the period correct series 1 V12 and Borg Warner auto which can be sourced cost effectively from an early XJ12 or alternatively a donor S3 E-type 2+2, and funded partially by selling existing engine and transmission. As the story goes, with family commitments time is the hardest thing to come by. The decision is to move on prior to getting in too deep and the next owner can decide which direction to take this Jaguar.
