    Sellers description:
This vehicle was purchased in 1988 and has been stored in a heated garage since I've owned the vehicle. This car is all original and has some minor paint work done but the car is very clean. The chrome is as new and the interior is very clean and very good condition. The car does need some paint work done. The factory A/C still works well. The undercarriage is dry and clean. Everything works on the car. The original spare has never been used. I believe this 32,300 original mile car can be the best around. Must sell due to lose of garage space.

    For Sale Online Auction

    bringatrailer.com/listing/1974-jaguar-e-type-roadster-16/

    Auction description:

    Lot #33041

    Seller: Coventry2

    Location: Shelton, Connecticut 06484

    Chassis: UE1S25547

    33k Miles Shown, TMU

    Numbers-Matching 5.3L V12

    Four-Speed Manual Transmission

    Repainted ~2015

    Dunlop Wire Wheels

    Sable over Cinnamon Leather

    Tan Cloth Soft Top

    Air Conditioning

    Jensen AM/FM Cassette Stereo

    Owner's Manual

    Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate

Private Party or Dealer: Private Party

This 1974 Jaguar E-Type is a Series III roadster that is finished in Sable over a Cinnamon interior and was reportedly acquired by the seller in 2019 from its previous owner of approximately 30 years, who was noted to be a Jaguar collector and mechanic. Power is supplied by a numbers-matching 5.3-liter V12 equipped with four Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Additional features include Dunlop knock-off wire wheels, power-assisted steering and brakes, air-conditioning, and a Jensen cassette radio. A repaint was performed and a replacement soft top was reportedly installed during prior ownership, and the seller replaced the brake master cylinder in the last six months. This Series III E-Type is now being offered with a jack and tools, tonneau cover, service and owner’s manuals, a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, and Connecticut registration.

The car came finished in Sable (259) from the factory and was reportedly repainted around 2015. Features include chrome bumpers with US-spec overriders, a quadruple center exhaust outlet, and a replacement cloth tan soft top, which is shown both raised and lowered in the gallery below. The seller reports that the driver-side front turn signal is not functioning.

Dunlop 15” wire spoke wheels were reportedly installed in 2018 and are wrapped in BFGoodrich Silvertown whitewall tires sized 215/70. Braking is handled by power-assisted four-wheel discs, and the master cylinder is said to have been replaced by the seller.

The cabin is trimmed in Cinnamon leather and features air conditioning as well as an aftermarket Jensen AM/FM cassette radio. Wear is noted on the carpets, and the seller reports that the headrests have been re-stuffed.

A three-spoke, leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a suite of Smiths instrumentation which includes a 160-mph speedometer, 7k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for amperage, oil pressure, and water temperature. The five-digit odometer shows just under 33k miles, approximately 750 of which have been added by the seller. The analog clock is inoperable and the fuel gauge does not register a full tank. The seller reports a recent oil change and notes an oil leak from the left valve cover seal. Engine block stamping 7S16747 matches the chassis plate as well as the Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate.
