The 1974 XKE offered here is finished in traditional British Racing Green with a black interior. It was restored 12 years ago from a rust-free original and has since been shown more than driven. The restoration was complete right down to the frame and it was rebuilt with several mechanical upgrades that improved its handling and performance. Starting with its spectacular 272 horsepower V-12 the engine was rebuilt with six Weber carburetors and an electronic ignition for precision performance. Drivability is greatly improved thanks to a Tremec five-speed transmission with overdrive and a heavy-duty clutch. A custom fabricated aluminum cold air intake manifold also improves performance. The engine compartment is clean and properly sorted. Handling is just what an XKE should be, thanks to heavy-duty shocks absorbers. This Jaguar rides on special made rims that add a dramatic flair to its overall appearance. The interior is everything a British roadster should be with black leather and custom made dual roll bars that are also covered in leather to match the interior. This Jaguar is a pleasure to drive, thanks to power steering and air-conditioning.
