Ebay item 10/5/05
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-1966-Jaguar-XKE-E-Type-Roadster-Restoratio ...
Current bid $7,100.00 (Reserve not met), 13 bids, 5 days left in auction. 81k miles.
Sellers description:
1966 Jaguar XKE Roadster. This is a very rare collectible car. It is matching numbers. This car is in need of a complete restoration. As you will see in the picture there is some rust. The rocker panels are not original, and have been riveted to the body. The floors do have some rust in them, and have had sheet metal, and fiberglass work done too them. There is some light damage to the right rear corner of the car. This is a complete car. I buy, sell, and restore British cars for a living, and rarely see Series 1 XKE Roadster needing restoration for sale.

The Zoute Sale
10 Oct 2014 18:00 CEST
An all-matching-numbers example retaining its original engine, gearbox and body tag, this superb left-hand drive E-Type roadster was manufactured on 24th August 1965 and sold new to a Mr Luther Goldfinque via Jaguar Cars of New York, USA. Its owner's choice of the opalescent golden sand colour was probably inspired by the James Bond movie 'Goldfinger'. The E-Type is in its original exterior, interior and hood colour combination, as confirmed by Jaguar Heritage.
A 'frame off' restoration was completed in 2013 by the Italian specialists Modenese Srl, which had been undertaken with the aim of keeping it fully original. The engine has been rebuilt as original, retaining its existing pistons and valves (in very good condition, cleaned and refurbished) together with new piston rings and shell bearings, while the cylinder head has been overhauled and cleaned. The rear axle and suspension, as well as the gearbox and differential, have been fully refurbished. A complete new electrical wiring loom has been fitted and all rubber seals and hoses changed. A new stainless steel exhaust system has been installed and the fuel system and carburettors refurbished. The car has covered fewer than 150 road-test miles since completion, all undertaken by the present owner.
A full photographic record of the entire restoration process, comprising hundreds of images on a USB stick, is included in the sale. Presented in generally excellent condition, the car is offered with Jaguar Heritage Certificate and documents necessary for transference of property in Italy or for registering in different countries. It also comes with most of its original tools.
