1967 JAGUAR E-TYPE XKE SERIES ONE 4.2 LITER ROADSTER. TRIPLE CARBS, COVERED LIGHTS. 4-SPEED. CHROME WIRE WHEELS. BELIEVED ORIGINAL COLORS OF INDIGO BLUE WITH BEIGE TRIM. NON-MATCHING NUMBERS. FAIRLY COMPLETE CAR, FOR FULL RESTORATION.
Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this very decent Jaguar E-type Roadster restoration project. This car was recently purchased from it's last owner of 19 years in Northern California. The car was a retirement project but life changed and he wasn't able to complete the restoration. The car is largely complete but is a missing a few noted items. These cars continue to appreciate and this car is the most economically-priced offering in today's market.
This car was purchased in a disassembled state and has been partially assembled for viewing/shipping purposes. The car's monocoque was media blasted to bare metal and primed. New replacement dipped floor panels were installed. The rockers appear to be original and in very good condition. The overall condition of the main body is good, with some repairs made to the tail and some rust repair needed on the rear wheelarchs. The bonnet is very nice and accident-free. The subframes are excellent. The car's body is above average compared to other project cars on the market.
The car has it's original data plate and is sold with a clear CA title. The engine block and it's corresponding cylinder head currently installed is number 7D52638-9. The gearbox number is KE 1777. The car's windshield has a crack. Please look at all the of photos carefully that include the car's parts. Items that I have noted as missing include one seat bottom, radio and center console with armrest, air cleaner can and triangle collector box, and possibly some more minor items... The car has upgraded S2 front calipers.
Overall, a hugely desirable car with great upside potential, once restored. This car is largely complete with all the expensive items present. It is very sensibly priced for a worthwhile restoration project.
