Anyone in the Filton/Bristol area interested in helping me get this beast back up and running NOT FOR RESALE feel free to get in touch.
She may be the least desirable E-Type in some peoples eyes, but she is mine!!

Heartbreaking to see our old Jag. like this. Abt. 1974 my mother instructed my father to go and buy a sensible family car. He came back with LUY 700D and a mini for her. She was furious, but my brother and I were delirious. We kept her (the e-type) for at least 8 happy years. My proudest moment was dad allowing me to drive back in 1976 from Salzburg to Le Havre as a 17 year old on a provisional licence. I have lots of photos if anyone is interested. But please could someone buy her, and restore her to her former glory.

Hi Tim,
You should do it! Not a bad candidate at this point, most of the rust is probably gone. ;) BTW I have original surplus parts for an automatic as I converted mine to manual when restoring (or the PO did) I bought her also as a basket case and it only took me two years to put her back together. (1E76372BW) Very, very early 2+2 so should have the separate door locks just like mine (no holes on the new door panels) Nice original plate and everything! Cheers!

Hi all,
I've very recently purchased LUY700D as a major restoration project being as all that there is at the moment is a solid rolling chassis and rear axle left, but she worthy of being restored to her rightful place:) I've already found an original 4.2 lump of the similar engine code the only changes I will make from original will be better brakes and a manual gearbox every think else will be restored to as she left the factory. If any does have history or photo's of this lovely car can you please get in touch it all help in the process to restore her. I will be uploading picture as and when i can. Many thanks
