Auction description:
Formerly the property of Viscount Boyne
1966 Jaguar E-Type Series I FHC 2+2
Registration No: HFW 293D
Chassis No: IE50049BW
Engine No:
Bought seven years ago and used as an everyday car until recently, this E-Type has been rigorously maintained in the current ownership. Although now sidelined by a racing car stablemate, it remains in very good condition. The bodywork is extremely sound and complemented by the fine finish of the re-sprayed red paintwork. The interior has been sympathetically restored to preserve as much of the original red leather as possible. New chrome wire wheels have been fitted and the brakes overhauled. The 4235cc engine was re-built by a racing XK marque specialist and is mated to an automatic transmission. Performance is surprisingly strong. The car comes with a period radio, current MOT, road tax and a V5 registration document.
Estimate: £10,000-£12,000
