THIS IS A COMPLETE AND RUNNING CAR THAT IS REGISTERED, INSURED AND DRIVEN. IT IS A FUN CAR TO DRIVE. THERE ARE HOWEVER A NUMBER OF THINGS THAT NEED TO BE ADJUSTED OR REPAIRED. THESE ARE SOME BUT NOT ALL OF THE ITEMS THAT NEED ATTENTION. THE BRAKES WORK AND STOP THE CAR BUT YOU FEEL SOME BACKPRESSURE THRU THE PEDDLE. I BELIEVE THAT THE VALUE OF THE JAGUAR PARTS ALONE ARE WORTH MORE THAN THE OPENING BID. I HAVE SEEN THE FRONT HOOD (BONNET) SELL FOR AS MUCH AS $5,000. AND THAT WAS WITHOUT ANY CHROME MOLDING, BUMPER MOTIF BAR, LIGHT BUCKETS, TRIM AND GLASS. THE CAR ALSO HAS THE VERY DESIRABLE AND VALUABLE JAGUAR REAR-END WITH INBOARD DISC BRAKES AND INDEPENDENT SUSPENSION.

This beatiful car runs great with a strong powerful V8 engine that flies on take off and is very reliable. It has has had a number of upgrades to make it an every day car to drive. It sports a Ford Mustang 302 engine block that fits perfectly in the space under the hood. It is not hindered by the traditional unreliable engine of the original Jaguar, however for those who are collectors of this car, the engine can be removed as no modifications were done to the car during instalation and an original engine can be easily replaced inthe car. The Ford V8 engine has an aluminum 302 performance block that weighs 60 lb (27 kg), less than the common iron version, and has displacements of 347 ci. It's weight and balance is great and doesnt alter the handling performance of the car, although it is a significantly more powerful roadster with this conversion. It has a space age alternator that supplies dependable 12 volt power, and an adjustable fuel line which lets you adjust your fuel pressure for stumble free fuel delivery to the carburetor. It has also been converted to an automatic transmission with a Hurst performance racing quarter stick. This car really takes off and blows other cars away at the light. The car also has a FlowKooler water pump and MSD blaster 2 ignition system and so it runs cool and starts right up every time. Finally it has a Holly Street Avenger carburetor system which is one of the finest high performance carburetors manufactured today. The interior of the car has original leather, with no cracking (although parts of the leather are dry), and all the guages and lights work. Unlike other older cars, the head liners are not sagging and the interior is well kept. It still has that appealing "old leather" smell and the curved windshield is in excelent condition. There are not and internall or external leaks, however this car will leak transmission fluid if not driven at least once in a mont. In the E-Type model, the transmition fluid flows down into the pan and overflows over time and so this is a natural occurance of the car. I drove it all the time so this was no an issue but if you park it for a month or so, make sure you check the transmission fluid and place something under the car to avoid a messy garage floor. The windshield wipers run off a compression system so take time to start up but the cool three blade system works adequately in the rain. The car is in great condition, and the 2+2 styling of the car gives it that extra long aeroplane profile and trunk space, and the adjustable interior trunk space allows for storage of golf clubs or regular luggage. The door "key lock" works, although they are stiff, and the front drivers door requires a good slam to close. It can be adjusted at a mechanic shop but I have driven this car since February 2006 and there are no issues with the car. The wheels have 17inch tires and the car corners like a race car. It has original wire spoke wheels and a full size spare tire. There are some minor chips in the pint that are easily repairable (I just have not bothered because they are so minor) and one minor dent in the hood) All in all this is a great car, has had a lot of care and attention including being kept inside a dry garage. I bought this car because I wanted to drive a sporty cool looking unique car, that wouldnt break down every 5 minutes. I have now upgraded to a new sports car and sadly it is time to say goodbye to this one. I hope the new owner takes as much care of it as i did and enjoys it as much as i did
