Ebay item 4/6/05

Opening bid $28,000.00 (Reserve not met), no bids yet, 5 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
This is a 99% restored 1967 Jaguar E, series 1&1/2, 2+2. The body work was done last year and this in Pasadena by Euro Classic, the mechanicals, hydraulics and electricals by Malcolm Buckeridge, both Jaguar specialists. The engine has been completely rebuilt, all major systems rebuilt, the inerior has been carefully restored, the upholstery is new, tires are new, yet the car is original, the numbers of all major systems matching. There is no rust anywhere (lead-loaded), the paint is fresh and bright, most of the chrome, and all trim and seals are new. Exterior is British Racing Green; interior is 'biscuit' tan. All that is left to do is to replace the window cranks (which I have), the top trim on the windshield, one hinge on the passenger's hand grip (which I have), and to recalibrate the gauges, all of which work. The engine is very powerful and smooth, and has been driven about 500 miles since being rebuilt. This E-Type is a real head-turner, it is stunning to look at and exciting to drive. It is very stable and responsive at high speeds, and we have actually solved the overheating problem! I restored it for my son, and am selling because he is going to post-graduate school back East. This is a chance to acquire the E-Type you have always dreamed about for a little more than the cost of restoration
