For sale at local Jaguar dealership, www.lylepearson.com/inventory/used-1968-jaguar-e-type-2d-coupe-00000000001e78398
Listed as a coupe rather than a 2+2, have not looked at it but the pictures would suggest that it is in pretty good shape. Asking 60K for it.

This 1968 Jaguar XKE 2+2 is said to have been delivered new to Auto Continental in Boise, Idaho, and remained with its prior owner for twenty years until the selling dealer’s acquisition in 2022. The car is finished in yellow over black leather and is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes twin Zenith-Stromberg carburetors, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, air conditioning, a Blaupunkt AM/FM radio, 15” wire wheels, and chrome bumpers with overriders. This Series 1.5 2+2 is now offered with manufacturer’s literature, a workshop manual, a wooden knock-off tool, and a clean Idaho title.
The body is finished in yellow and features a louvered hood, a driver-side mirror, pop-out rear quarter windows, chrome-finished bumpers with overriders, and center-mounted dual exhaust outlets with chrome finishers. The selling dealer notes evidence that the car has been repainted, and chips and blemishes are visible.
Chrome-finished 15” wire wheels wear two-ear spinners and are mounted with 165/80 Coker Classic Radial LL800 M+S tires up front and 185-series Michelin XVS tires out back. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear units. A spare wire wheel is stored in the trunk along with a wooden knock-off tool.
The cabin features low-back front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in black leather with a color-coordinated dash, door panels, and carpets. The front seats are said to have been reupholstered under prior ownership, and additional appointments include air conditioning and a Blaupunkt push-button AM/FM radio.
A wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5,500-rpm redline. A clock and auxiliary gauges are mounted in the center of the dash. The five-digit odometer shows 55k miles. The selling dealer notes that the tachometer appears to be inaccurate.
The 4.2-liter inline-six features twin Zenith-Stromberg carburetors. The selling dealer notes oil leaks.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
