Ebay item 12/11/10
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-supercharged-Jaguar-E-Type-full-custom-/23 ...
Current bid $11,211 reserve not met, 12 bids 6 days left in auction. 22k miles.

Sellers description:
We have tracked all the costs on this build and will furnish tickets with the purchase. We decide to let you take it to the shows and magazines and claim it as your build. The two times we showed the car it took a first and a second.

Original mile are correct for this car as it was stored in Texas for years prior to our build.

Supercharged / Fuel injected 4.2 Jaguar motor with all vintage touches. Everything is NEW and operational. Dyno tuned.

Interior was made by a very high end shop in lipstick red leather installed on early seat frames in perforated leather. All wool carpets in matching red color. Door cards and rear deck in turned aluminum that has been clear coated. Black headliner is suede. Custom roll cage. There is an area that is activated by a dash mounted toggle switch that opens by remote cylinder. Steering wheel is for racing but it also has stock wood wheel in perfect condition.

Fuel Cell mounted in center of fuel area for balance. Fuel filler is in rear hatch. Stainess braided lines feed the injection system and are used for the return lines.

Car is balanced 52% front 48% rear.

Injection system was designed for this "E" by Accell system (EFI) from Wixom Michigan. System is full programmable by lap top and is perfectly tuned. We spent over $8K on the fuel system itself and it is the best you can purchase. Computer samples a dozen settings and makes automatic adjustments prior to starting the car. No adjustments needed wherever you drive the car. The advantages are remarkable and beautifull.

Supercharger is a chrome plated Eaton unit with 5 pounds boost. The supercharger is controlled by togggle switch and electric clutch. Blow off valves are used. Aluminum grooved pully was made for the crank to operate the supercharger. Special mounting brakets allow for exhaust removal and one wire alternator installation. Intercooler is used.

Air Intake is all hand made aluminum with three chromed Weber side draft throttle bodies with injectors mounted very close to the intake valves.

Long tubbed headers to a 3 inch exhaust to the rear or open the dump tubes for racing.

Body is 4 inches wider at the wings (quarter panels) with carbon fiber and fiberglassed wings allowing for bigger tires. Roof line was cut by 1.87 inches at the "A" pillar but stock at the "B" pillars for a raked look. Lexan windows, custom bonnet, custom wheels in stainless, side exhaust and resonators for rear, welded rear bumbers with life time warranty.

All body work and painting was done by a SEMA Award winning shop.

There is NO rust anyplace on this car. Project was media blasted 100% and frames were inspected for cracks and then re welded as needed.

Car is detailed at every angled including the under side which we added smoothing panel to for air flow.

Rear view mirrors have camera mounted inside and 9 inch monitors under dash for a clear view down both sides of the car.

Hand made screens to protect the headlamp glass covers.

New everything! every nut, bolt, screw and rivet was removed in this seven year build.

Car is extremely fast and street legal as long as you keep the side pipes closed.

This could very well be the fastest and most well thought out "E" in the world.

ABS brake system with crossed drilled Brimbos at all four locations

Car returns to ebay 11/30/21

www.ebay.com/itm/403326865105

Classified ad price: $99,995 seller classic_car_addict, car now in Mesa, Arizona, previously Normal, Illinois, 28k miles.

Seller's description:

Classic Car Addict is proud to present this beautiful 1968 Jaguar XKE (E-Type) for sale in our Mesa, AZ showroom. Regarded by many as the most beautiful car ever built, the E-Type Roadster's coupe cousin was rather more Polarizing. To some, the hard top was the epitome of style, while others regarded it as the ugly duckling. But whatever your opinion, there's no denying the impact these classic coupes had, as well as the cult status they would command. The Series II 2+2 had a more raked windshield than other models, better suiting the longer wheelbase, longer doors, and higher roofline to fit the shorter Coupe’s windshield and A-pillars. This meant the roofline had to be reconstructed, creating yet another unique feature of this conversion. There is a string of other details, such as the three wiper blades from the earlier model. With the carbon rear fenders fitted, they relocated the fuel filler to the tailgate, modifying it to the filler cap and fitting a clear third brake light above the rear glass. When closed, the tailgate seals the baffled racing fuel cell fitted under the floor. It’s paired with a racing pump to feed the big Weber’s. Once completed, the car was shot in DuPont Silver metalflake. The window trim was painted flat-black, and a delicate red pinstripe applied under the side windows. Even the Jag’s underside wasn’t overlooked. Although out of sight, it has an aluminum belly pan, with all the welds smoothed before painting. The same treatment was used on every welded seam. To match the exterior, the cockpit needed to be extraordinary, which was achieved with perforated lipstick-red leather on Series 1 seats. They also reconfigured the interior, making it more spacious by removing the 2+2’s small rear seats. This allows to move the front chairs back, while shifting the dash forward 6. With matching red leather trim, carpet, and harnesses. The fitted turned aluminum door panels compliment the exposed interior body panels and fuel filler. It also has an SCCA-spec roll cage built into the rear of the car and painted body color. The delightful period mirrors on the front fenders have two-way glass and house cameras, with the images viewed on two monitors mounted above the gearshift. While some might consider such extensive modifications to be excessive, others see things differently. They were on a mission to prove they could transform the classic E-Type beyond anybody’s expectations. That included the anchors, which received a Jaguar XJS disc brake system with larger calipers and functional BMW ABS. Engine 4.2L straight-six with rebuilt internals, three side-draft Weber 45 DCOE carburetors modified for fuel injection, digital injection control, ported intake cylinder head, front-mounted intercooler, aluminum radiator, MSD/Mallory ignition and distributor, tubular headers, 2.5 stainless steel exhaust with side- and rear-exit. Drivetrain Rebuilt four-speed manual transmission Brakes Jaguar XJS discs and calipers, BMW ABS system Suspension QA1 coil overs all round, Jaguar XJS rear crossmember, sway bars, urethane bushings, all parts powder coated or chromed Wheels & Tires 15x5.5 f, 15x8 R wire wheels with 225/60/R15 Goodyear Eagle T/A tires This will be sold on a clean Arizona title with 6 totes of documentation.

Lot #70114

This 1968 Jaguar XKE 2+2 was modified during previous ownership with a re-profiled roofline and carbon fiber rear fender flares, aluminum belly pans, and a Series I-spec windshield, A-pillars, and lighting. The 4.2-liter inline-six is equipped with three Weber carburetors that have been modified for fuel injection, and the car has been repainted silver over red leather upholstery. Additional features include a four-speed manual transmission, four-wheel disc brakes with ABS, QA1 adjustable coilovers, staggered-width 15” wire wheels, a carbon fiber hood, a roll bar, a fuel cell, tubular headers, and a stainless steel exhaust system with side and rear exits. This modified XKE was acquired by the seller around four years ago and is now being offered with manufacturer’s literature, a removed nitrous oxide injection system and intercooler, spare parts, and a clean Arizona title in the seller’s name.

The body was reportedly seam-welded and the roof re-profiled to accommodate a Series I-spec windshield and A-pillars. The front bumper was shaved, and a carbon fiber cowl hood and carbon fiber rear fender flares were added prior to a repaint in silver metalflake. Additional features include a Series I-spec rear bumper and taillights, triple windshield wiper conversion, hood latches sourced from a Ford Mustang, matte black window trim, headlight covers, a fuel filler mounted in the center of the rear hatch, rear and capped side-exit exhaust pipes, and bullet-style fender mirrors fitted with cameras mounted behind two-way glass.

Chrome staggered-width wire wheels are secured by two-eared knock-off spinners and mounted with Goodyear Eagle tires sized 225/50 up front and 225/60 out back. Braking is through Jaguar XJS-spec four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rears and a BMW ABS system. The car rides on QA1 adjustable coilovers with front and rear sway bars, an XJS-spec rear crossmember, and polyurethane bushings.

Series I-style low-back bucket seats are trimmed in red leather and equipped with matching Simpson harnesses. The rear seat has been removed, a body-color roll bar has been added, and the dash has reportedly been moved forward by 6″. Additional equipment includes a short shifter, engine-turned accent panels, an analog clock, toggle switches for vehicle functions, and dual Sony monitors wired to the sideview cameras.

A leather-wrapped Fittipaldi steering wheel sits ahead of Smiths instrumentation that includes a 160-mph speedometer and 6k-rpm tachometer, both of which are said to have been rebuilt. A suite of auxiliary gauges are found in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 28k miles, around 2,500 of which have been added during current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The 4.2-liter inline-six is said to have been overhauled during the build and features electronic fuel injection, which utilizes triple Weber carburetors with removed butterflies and added injectors. The system terminates into a custom air box with a single throttle body that controls airflow via throttle cable. Additional features reportedly include a ported cylinder head, MSD ignition, aluminum radiator, Mallory distributor, tubular headers, a 2.5” stainless-steel exhaust system, and a trunk-mounted fuel cell. The seller notes that the oil was changed and the valve cover gaskets replaced in preparation for the sale. The engine was previously fitted with a supercharger, and the removed intercooler and supercharger piping accompany the vehicle, along with a removed nitrous oxide injection system.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. Smoothed aluminum belly pans have been affixed to the underside and show scratching and abrasions.
