This car was mentioned by its owner, D. George Davis, in the 12/91 issue of Ejag magazine. Mr. Davis was explaining the color combo and some publications that say Willow Green and Black was not a factory combo. This is his comment:
I am the original and "still" owner of a 1969 4.2 E-type S2 which I purchased brand new from Manhattan Auto in Fairfax, Virginia on Feb. 5, 1970; Car no. 1R10711, Engine no. 7R7303-9, Body no. 4R5103, Gear box no. KE8402.
