Ebay item 7/22/13
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1970-Jaguar-E-Type-/310709300262
Current bid $32,100 reserve not met 2 bids 3 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
Vintage Autohaus and Imports is proud to present this 1970 Jaguar E-Type "Roadster". This is an extremely clean Jaguar. It was sold in Phoenix, Az. on March 16, 1970. It stayed in Phoenix until the 3rd owner purchased the car in 2001. We purchased the car from him and he lives in northeast Mo. The car retains the original interior. The leather seats are showing patina from being in the dry Arizona climate. The dash, gauges and switches are all very nice. The soft top looks new and has a black boot and it also has a tan tonneau cover as well. This is an absolute no rust Jag. The body and chassis is structurally clean and very sound. The paint is very nice, the glass and bright work is nice as well. The trunk pan, floors, and rockers are very clean and have never been patched or repaired. It has a chrome wire wheel for the spare, and all of the tools are there.
This Jag has a 4.2 liter engine, 4 speed transmission, chrome wire spoke knock off wheels and factory air conditioning. We have the original owners manual and service book. We thought we would leave it up to the new owner to leave the seats original or replace them. It has 33,374 original miles on the odometer. Since she is over ten years old it will sold as exempt on the mileage. The vin # is 1R12264 and the engine number matches the data plate. This is just a plain honest and clean Jag. It is very enjoyable to drive and it is tuned and runs wonderfully.

This beautiful and fully original Jaguar E-Type Cabrio - Series 2 - has been completely body-off restored here in Europe for over 2.5 years. Classic Data Rating Condition -1-.
The restoration was carried out by a highly specialised workshop in Portugal according to the highest standards. This company specialises in high-quality classic cars. The restoration was completed in 2017. The car has been moved about 1,000 km to this day and parked in an air-conditioned garage.
The Jaguar was imported from the USA in 2013 and then brought to Portugal for restoration. The Jaguar was ground down to the bare sheet metal and completely dismantled. Everything has been restored, overhauled and renewed to the highest standards. The original 4.2 litre engine and manual 4-speed transmission have both been completely restored and are in new condition. The suspension, brakes, exhaust system, the interior, steering, air conditioning, etc. were also brought into new condition. This Jaguar has more than 2300 hours of work. An electric steering aid was retrofitted.
The vehicle was brought to the condition it was in when it left the factory 49 years ago. Inclusive of the original colour combination (Fawn/camel). Brand new and in Concours condition. With the help of approx. 550 photos, the complete restoration can be traced. Some of the pictures are printed in a beautiful picture book. Unfortunately, the pictures do not do justice to the Jaguar's top condition - you have to see it.
The vehicle can be viewed and picked up in Mallorca.
