Ebay item 6/25/12
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1969-Jaguar-E-Type-2-passenger-Coupe-/160831324077
Opening bid $1,000 reserve not met, no bids yet 6 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
This 1969 E-Type FHC was recently rescued from a chicken coupe being demolished by a property developer. Note this is a 2 passenger coupe. In the US, the disc wheels on this car are very rare, and it was equipped with factory air conditioning. It appears that the previous owner abandoned the restoration early on and quite a while ago. In the intervening years the building collapsed damaging the roof and exposing the car to the elements. This resulted in substantial rust damage to the lower portions of the body. Obviously it needs floors and rocker panel repair or replacement. Many other areas of the body require repair.

The dashboard has its gauges and the air conditioning unit underneath. All of the glass except the windshield is included. The driver's seat is present. As far as I can tell, the engine and transmission both seem to be original to the car. All mechanical systems and components will require rebuilding. For the most part, the car is complete, but some items are missing. If it is not in the photo's, it is not included.

NOTE: THE LISTED MILEAGE IS WHAT SHOWS ON THE ODOMETER. THE TITLE LISTS EXEMPT MILES (by Federal law because of age) THEREFORE CONSIDER THIS CAR AS HAVING UNKNOWN MILEAGE.

I have a clear Pennsylvania title in my name in hand.

Since it does not run, you will need to have this car transported by trailer or rollback. Fortunately it rolls easily for loading. This car is being sold AS-IS, WHERE-IS at Hunlock Creek, PA.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
