    Car was on ebay 6/13
    cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Auction ended at $22,100 reserve not met after 16 bids.

    Sellers description:
This beautifully restored classic Jaguar was part of a collection of a real motoring disciple. His vast collection of classic cars represents some of the best cars of any collection. He has reluctantly decided to sell some of them and we were lucky enough to be the entity he chose to sell them to. This car is pristine and was on the front cover of Hemmings Sports & Exotics Car magazine of February 2008. It is in mint condition and a true show winner . A true #1 and the photos are certainly the proof to back up that claim. If you are a true collector or someone who wants to begin a collection, this car would make the perfect acquisition. A car of this quality and history could sell for over $60,000.00 but we have set the reserve at a reasonable figure. We want this car to find a good home and we want the new owner to drive it and enjoy it as it's previous owner has for the past many years.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
