Ebay item 8/28/14
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-E-Type-leather-Beautiful-example-of-british-motoring-196 ...
Current bid $14,300 reserve not met 15 bids 6 days left in auction. 88k miles.
Sellers description:
Owned this Jaguar for almost 20 years and have only put 5000 miles on it during that time. They have been " babied " miles as well. It is time where some of this collection must go so sadly this is one of them. I drove the car so that I could accurately describe it.
It has a LOT of power, and drives nicely, with all 4 gears shifting smoothly and effortlessly. The clutch is very good and you don't need both feet on it to use it, like a lot of older cars do. It handles extremely well, and is a pleasure to drive. If you want to be noticed, this car will do it.
Here is a list of upgrades and work done. All of the original parts come with the car as well.
Triple 45 DCOE side draft webber carburetors ( still have originals )
New Dayton wire wheels with "knock ons " 7 1/2 inch rears , 7 inch fronts with new P205 / R15 tires. ( still have original wheels )
Full cylinder head rebuild and upgrade, extensive premium engine, cooling, transmission and hydraulics systems upgrades by Terry's Jaguar of Ohio.
This car is in very good condition, but still needs small things done to bring it to show condition.
There is a small amount of rust in the battery box, and very small bubbles in the lower door panel. The floor panels were replaced some years ago.
