Opening bid $12,000.00 (Reserve not met), no bids yet, 6 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
This 1969 Jaguar E-Type Series II 4.2 XKE 2+2 is offered for auction after spending 28 years in a garage. It was purchased new in 1969 and driven until about 1976. It was parked in the garage until 2004 when it was serviced and tuned.

The car has 43,000 miles and has been in the same family since it was purchased. Everything works (the AC worked but has not been serviced) and is original. AC is Delanair.

The British Racing Green paint is serviceable but not perfect.

Auto transmission. Shifts smooth.

Wire wheels on original Dunlop tires. The tires were replaced in the 1970s but were replaced with the exact same tire. Spare tire is also original with matching wire wheel.

Clear title and owner’s manual plus original documentation including a garage maintenance wall poster, owner’s guide for Pianola Radio, AC documentation, sales and service guide, manufacturers warranty made out to original owner and receipt for service.

* Wooden telescoping steering wheel
* Biscuit leather interior-bucket seats with console
* Stromberg sidedraft carbs
* Original toolkit including knockoff mallet and hub protector
* Jaguar chrome wire wheels with knockoffs
* Great chrome
* New mufflers
* New battery, new plugs, points and condenser, drained and flushed fuel tank

This car is not restored. Except for the new items mentioned it is all original.

This vehicle is sold in an "as is condition".

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
