Current bid $2,025 reserve not met, 8 bids 6 days left in auction. 44k miles.

    Sellers description:
Nice unrestored 1969 4.2 E-type Jaguar. This car was an inheritance from a former Air Force officer.

Appears to be nearly rust free.

The car has been in storage for nearly 5 years. The mileage is original and numbers appear to match. The Title is free and clear with no liens.

The car has a good strong running engine and smooth shifting transmission.

Because it was in storage, the gas tank was removed, flushed, patched and relined, as well as the rest of the fuel system. Replaced fuel strainer in the tank. Has new fuel filter and the carbs have been rebuilt.

Replace ignition coil, points and condensor. Compression checks good.

Replaced hoses, flush and fill cooling system.

    Replaced starter and battery.

Brake system may need attention due to sitting for a long time.

Original keys were lost, ignition key will not lock and unlock doors.

All of the above was done by a certified garage.

Current bid $15,000, no reserve, 7 bids 4 days left in auction. Car now said to be in Columbus, Ohio.

    Sellers description:
    1969 Jaguar e-Type 2+2, Series 2 with only 44.8K Original Miles

Rare color combination - red on red.....I have never seen an e type with this color combination before.

This car has manual shift, factory installed air conditioning and chrome wire wheels

It was recently uncovered from long term storage....the original owner served in the military service (see stickers) and placed the car into storage while he was away on duty....the car was inherited by his father who in turn kept it in storage for an additional 15 years....he was too old to drive it, but found it difficult to let go.

Paint - It has some paint chips, minor scratches and dings and the paint is fading in some spots as one would expect

Interior - All original leather interior in excellent condition as is the head liner

Running and driving condition - needs thorough check-out,full service and some cosmetic repairs

Great car to restore or enjoy as is!

This car is a matching numbers car
Car Number: IR40639 - verified with number on cross frame near shock mount
    Chassis Number: 4R35769
Engine Number: 7R35969-8 verified with engine number on engine block above oil filter
Transmission Number: KJS 1110 (not verified but assumed to be matching)

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
