Vehicle Description: I'm not sure where to start. I have known about this car for 15 years and owned it for two in this exact condition. Other circumstances force the sale of my dream car. The original owner was a gambler in a suburb of Pittsburgh and needed to come up with money. In 1972, he sold it to a doctor in a town where I went to college in the early 1990's. He and his wife parted ways in 1985 and there it sat parked for over 15 years inside a garage. It was put away running and driven in with no problems. I bugged him for 10 years to purchsase it and he finally gave in 3 years ago. I put it in storage and started some work but have been limited on time and money. In the meantime, I purchased a brand new black interior carpet kit (still in the box), two newly rebuilt carbs (old ones are included), and a gasket and belt kit. The motor turns freely although we have not started it. We did lubricate all the cylinders with WD40 and turned it manually. It has fresh oil, a new fuel pump, and new valve cover gaskets. The intake and carbs are off and ready to go on. I purchased 5 original wheels and tires, two tires are pretty new and three are semi worn (tire tread, not wheel condition). The wheels are all very nice and would be great for a driver but they are not brand new. I only pictured one as they are all the same. So, there are two sets of wheels, the ones on the car and (5) others that go with it. The car is 100% and needs a new home. I can't tell you everything you would need to do but will tell you it hasn't been started for 15+ years. It is the original block, # matching car. The radio was stolen in 1987. The body is very solid. It is not the original paint but is the original color (pale primose). I suspect is was painted in about 1971 due to poor quality from Jaguar. It was not wrecked. The body panels have light rust as I pictured that only appears to have affected the paint. The metal is all there and needs some work. Pictures are hard to tell but you can feel around and its all solid. The paint has cracked and given way to some rust. I have a brand new rear bumper seal. The chrome has light pitting that polishes out and would be great for a local show/driver. The top has held up beautifully and is in nice shape and fully operable. Everything you see pictured has dust as I didn't want to sugarcoat any appearance by a fresh cleaning. There are no rips or tears in the top. It would clean up very nicely. The interior is all there except the radio. The seats are decent (again dusty in the pictures), but the leather could be cleaned and brought back. The dash and all the instrumentation works. I hooked up a battery and all guages seem to work (wipers too). I have the Jaguar E Type Service Manual, a new "4.2" logo for the trunk deck and a new driver side outside mirror (this one has broken glass). You can go two ways with this valuable, original, car; frame off and go for the gusto or invest in a nice paint job and some light mechanical items and have a nice driver. Either way, this is a valuable, low mileage, original XKE and probably one of the best motors ever made by Jaguar. The mileage is 100% original. I know it is under 29k but 28,500 is an estimate. I will post he exact number at a later date. The exact mileage is 28,493.
With 2 days 21 hours left to go on the auction there have been 16 bids to a price of US $5,600.00 (Reserve not met)

Current bid $15,000 reserve not met, 1 bid, 6 days left in auction, buy it now price $47,500. Car now said to be in Atlanta, Georgia.
Sellers descrfiption:
This 1969 series 2 roadster has 28K genuine miles, and looks like a low mileage Jaguar should look. . Primrose yellow with original black leather interior. The car has its original matching number 4.2 liter inline 6 cylinder engine and full synchro 4 speed gearbox,. The wire wheels are new (stainless steel spokes) and new proper size (185 x 15) tires. The interior has a great patina with its original leather! As these car are quickly approaching 40 years old, finding e-type roadsters with their original interior is getting very hard, especially in this nice of a condition. The top is also the original, only the back clear plastic was replaced. The paint was stripped to bare metal and painted to very good standards two years ago. The chrome is very good.
This car is completely rust and accident free and, as best I can tell, there has never been any panels replaced. Even in places such as the spare tire well (which is a common rust spot), this car is spotless ... please see photos. The gauges and switches have a nice sheen, a clear indication of not only the low miles but that it was stored indoors all its life. All switches and gauges work, with the exception of the clock. If you like original cars, you will not be disappointed with this one.
Mechanically the engine is very strong with excellent oil pressure. Clutch and gearbox are in good condition. The radiator fans work as they should and engine runs cool.
Comes with owner's manual, jack in the bag, knock off hammer, and boot cover
This is not a show car, but a very nice well kept original example that can be enjoyed and displayed as is.
