Sellers description:
1969 Jaguar xke project. This is a rust free California project car.
It has a numbers matching engine and transmission. The picture frame that is in it is not the numbers matching unit, however I do have the original to go with the car. I have the Jaguar heritage document. The car was originally light blue with dark blue interior. It has been changed to black.
The engine has been rebuilt with new pistons, rings, bearings and timing chains. It runs very good and I have only driven it around the neighborhood a few times. It has a new stainless exhaust system, new clutch, new clutch master and slave cylinders, both new brake masters, new rotors and pads (rears not installed), new tires, new aluminum radiator and modern style fan, new water pump, electronic distributor, gm one wire alternator, modern fuel pump and I'm sure I'm forgetting some things.
The paint has minor dings, scratches, chips, and checking. Presentable for a driver but it would need a respray to be show worthy.
The interior will need to be done. It is missing seat parts including tracks, missing drivers door panel, clock, carpet etc... top frame is good, canvas is not.
The wiring will need to be sorted out. It runs, charges, and the gauges work. That's as far as I got. The harness appears intact and all factory connectors are there except for 4 voltage reg wires that have the connectors cut. It is missing some front parking and marker lights and some trim. What you see is what you get
