Craigslist advertisement also included the following comments: This car was bought in 1975 by this gentleman and put in the garage in 1978 to do some valve guides, , he was going to restore it but never got back to it.....30 years......he did not even know how to open the trunk....this is a nice old rust free, air conditioned Series II E-Type Roadster, 75397 miles.......very nice old car....one bump in the bonnet, easily fixed

new craigslist ad on 07 June 2008 includes the following:
1969 Jaguar XKE Roadster Series II......stored for the last 30 years! - $23500 (Olympia, Washington)
"This car was bought by a friend of ours in 1975, he drove it until 1978 when he parked it after a great summer of fun and sun, he was going to do valve guides, he said when he would back off the gas it would puff a little blue smoke, so he pulled it in the garage, loosened the bonnet and never came back to the car, it sat covered, in a dry garage, for 30 years! I have to many project cars and kids in school, I just cannot afford to keep this car, though I look at it daily and am trying to find a way to do it, help me stop the insanity and come buy this car from me. It is probably the most rust free 1969 E-Type Roadster you will find, a factory A/C car (still intact, never touched), under 76000 miles, the leather seats are still good, the floors are good, the bulkhead is good, the trunk is gorgeous, had not been opened in 30 years, I have not tried to start it yet, but expected to pull the top end off the car, it has one small ding / dent above the mouth on the bonnet, got to close to a trailer hitch....I will send a complete description with numbers, complete photo set as well, it is a numbers matching car, original picture frame, 72 spoke chrome wires, old original Redline tires, original tonneau and boot cover, a very nice old complete car for someone to restore. $23500 or best offer."

cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-XKE-1969-E-Type-Jaguar-Series-2-Roadster-C ...
Current bid $2,550 reserve not met, 7 bids 9 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
1969 E-Type XKE Series 2, 4.2 Jaguar. It has been in storage since the late 70's and not driven since then. When it was put away, according to the previous owner, it was in running condition. It is not running now, but rolls fine and can be winched onto a trailer or truck. All original, desirable robin's egg blue with a dark blue leather interior. Interior can be saved. Very little rust, however floors should be replaced. Bump on bonnet nose that can be pounded out. Otherwise very few dents.Structurally sound and it's all there. Bought it as a project last summer with hopes of restoring it, but now have too many car projects and have run out of garage space.
