For sale at Coys auction 12 July 2014
1974 Jaguar E Type Series III V12 Roadster
    www.coys.co.uk/auction.php
    Estimate: £40,000 - £47,000
    Registration Number: EU taxes paid
    Chassis Number: UDLS21641BW
This wonderful Series 3 V12 Roadster is a Californian car originally and is presented in this striking Maroon with tan hide interior, which was recently re trimmed. The car is showing just over 59,000 miles covered which is believed to be genuine. These great roadster sports cars benefitted from the automatic gearbox, as the torque from the V12 gave it much admired performance delivered with ease. A great open top tourer which is relaxing to drive on any long tour as well as being great fun on any twisty roads. The note of a V12 flat out is a sound to behold! Not to be missed.

Now for sale at Silverstone Auction 20th September
    www.silverstoneauctions.com/1973-jaguar-e-type-s3-v12-roadster

    Registration: 1973
    Chassis Number: UDLS21641BW
    Engine Number: 758752LB
    Number of cylinders: 12
    CC: 5295
    Year of Manufacture: 1973
    Estimate (£): 40,000 - 45,000

Finished in Damson Red with contrasting tan leather interior this particular Jaguar V12 roadster was originally dispatched from Browns Lane to the sunshine state of California. We are informed by the vendor that this beautiful car drives without fault, the engine fires instantly and immediately settles to a silent hum, the 5.3 litre engine builds its enthusiasm stealthily via the auto box as it propels this car to a natural cruising speed reported to be in the region of 125mph. All electrics are reported to work perfectly and the steering and suspension are both tight and firm, all fluid levels are clean and fresh, the wire wheels are reported to be in excellent condition and are shod with excellent tyres all round.

Experts agree on how to identify a good E-type: 'Panel fit, panel gaps, the line of the body is absolutely key, this car has all these attributes. The red paintwork isn't perfect but is nicely aged with nicks and blemishes here and there; the paint shine is impressive though. Better still all bright work, chrome bumpers, grill, headlamps are reported to be very well preserved.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
