Lot 11669 at Collecting Cars on line Auction Sale on 19 July 2022. Sold for £80,000. Abbreviated seller's description below.
www.collectingcars.com/for-sale/1970-jaguar-e-type-series-2-4-2-roadster-2
- This E Type Series 2 Roadster is a wonderful example of the marque's iconic sports car, offered with two owners from new and benefitting from a comprehensive restoration.
- The car has been with the seller for seven years, and the odometer shows 53,015 miles, which is believed to be accurate, but cannot be warranted.
- As confirmed by the car's Jaguar Heritage production record, this US specification E Type was built as a left hand drive example but has since been converted to right hand drive.
- It was originally delivered to Cleveland, Ohio before being imported into the UK, where it was first registered with the DVLA in May 2019.
- Originally finished in Ascot Fawn with a Black convertible roof and Black interior, it has been resprayed in a handsome shade of Dark Blue, complemented by a matching roof and offset by a Red leather trimmed interior with a Black dahboard.
- The car features upgrades including Fosseway front disc brakes and callipers, upgraded adjustable suspension, electronic ignition and centre armrest mounted USB charger port.
- Vehicle is accompanied by its original production plate, Autopass autobook, owners manual, service handbook, original sales brochure, Jaguar Heritage record certificate, original wallets and extensive documentation of its service history.
- The most recent maintenance was a full service by TC Engineering in May 2022.
