1964 xke ots,chassis# 881504. ALL numbers match to include original 3.8L engine. Many enthusiasts like the 3.8 engine as it was the pure original etype engine and revved up faster than later engines. Odometer reads 31,595. All the Very desirable series 1 features to include triple carbs.. Car is not running and I don't know the condition of the mechanicals as it has been sitting for over 20 years. Needs restoring to include floors, rockers, trunk bottom, valence under bonnet. Very original--has body number in marker from factory on firewall!(I had heard about this but this is the only time in 35 years of owning these cars that I have seen it). Notice also that it has the original factory gearshift knob!Car is complete except for right front glass cover and chrome(damaged since pictures). Bumpers are sitting in place for pictures and not bolted on. Car is VERY restorable, new trunk bottom comes with it. Don't have a spare $30,00-$100,000 and afraid of how another car has been "done"? Meanwhile, these series 1 convertibles are getting more and more scarce and their prices are going up. Brand new Complete floors with all surrounding metal and rocker panels for both sides are available for $900. Do it as you can afford to your own level of enjoyment. Very hard to find a Correct series 1 convertible these days withALL MATCHING NUMBERS and as ORIGINAL as this. Currently stored in the St. Louis, Missouri, area.
