    Sellers description:
Hilltop Auto Stock # 175 needing restoration is this 1964 3.8 liter E-type roadster. This is fully matching number car and it has a clear North Carolina title. We have applied for a JDHT Certificate, which is en route. The original commission plate is with the car and the original picture frame is intact. The engine head and block match, the gearbox matches. The car was originally Old English White. The seats are missing as well as some other items which are visible in the photos.

Incorrectly entered here and/or a misread of the chassis number from the subframe photo shown. Ebay lists this car as 880020, which is correct for a late 3.8 OTS, and also appears to be a better match for the number visible in the picture of the front subframe.

No misread of the stamped in number of the picture frame. It reads 887720.....

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
