Current bid $15,000 reserve not met, 1 bid 6 days left in auction. Car now said to be in Port Monmouth, New Jersey. 36k miles.

    Sellers description:
1963 JAGUAR XKE COUPE, MATCHING NUMBERS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. SOUTHWEST CAR FROM AZ THAT WAS RESTORED WITHIN THE LAST 10 YEARS. THE BODY IS STRAIGHT AND THE PAINT FINISH IS STILL IN GREAT SHAPE EXCEPT FOR SOME BLEMISHES IN THE FORM OF THE PAINT IS CRACKING IN TWO 2" AREAS AT THE TOP OF THE RIGHT REAR FENDER JUST BELOW THE REAR WINDOW. THERE ARE A COUPLE OF OTHER MINOR CHIPS THAT WERE TOUCHED UP BUT OVERALL THE BODY LOOKS VERY GOOD. THE ATTACHED PICTURES WILL TELL THE STORY.

I BOUGHT IT 3 YEARS AGO FROM EUROPEAN COLLECTIBLES IN COSTA MESA, CA.. THE MAIN DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE OLD PICTURES AND THE CURRENT PICTURES IS THE 4 PIPE STAINLESS STEBRO EXHAUST AND NEW SHOCKS AND SPRINGS IN THE REAR WHICH LOWERED THE REAR OF THE CAR.

ENGINE AND DRIVETRAIN ARE ALL IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, INTERIOR IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, ALL BRIGHTWORK IS IN GREAT CONDITION WITH NO PITTING INCLUDING THE CHROME WIRE WHEELS. THERE ARE NEW AVON TIRES, NEW HOWE RACING ALUMINUM RADIATOR WITH A COOLCAT FAN AND A NEW 8 BLADE WATER PUMP. NEW STAINLESS STEBRO EXHAUST FROM CANADA.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
