This Jaguar E-Type E was sold new in France on 26 April 1963 by Delecroix in Paris and was registered on the following June 19. The Jaguar Heritage sheet confirms that it was opalescent silver grey with a midnight blue interior, one of the more stylish combinations. It was then registered in the South of France in August 1965 before passing into the hands of an engineer in Aix en Provence on 27 July 1972, as confirmed by a copy of the old registration document. The beautiful coupé then changed hands on 28 September 1973, through the Alfa Romeo dealer in Orange, the famous race driver Fernand Masoero. It was in 2017 that the current owner, a Jaguar enthusiast since the 1980s, acquired it in memory of his previous roadster. The car was then entrusted to the Reset garage for a major restoration. The body was completely dismantled, stripped, overhauled and repainted. The upholstery has also been restored respecting the original colors. As for the original engine (block and cylinder head), which worked satisfactorily, it was simply drained, the silent blocs replaced, the carburetors were cleaned and the entire fuel system, including the fuel tank, was overhauled. The differential has been redone, the shocks changed, as was the exhaust system. The brake system was also overhauled. The Pirelli tires are from 2018 and show very little wear. All the work carried out is detailed in an invoice of nearly € 65,000. Since then, barely 800 km have been covered. The fuel gauge and the oil pressure gauge will still need to be repaired. With its French provenance, its desirable original color combination and matching numbers mechanicals, this E-Type offers serious arguments to enthusiasts who have not yet taken the plunge.

Estimation 90 000 - 120 000 €
