Ebay item 6/17/15
www.ebay.com/itm/201372577696
Current bid US $40,000 reserve not met 13 bids 9 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
A fantastic XKE that I am selling on behalf of the original owners family. He purchased the car in 1974 and lovingly cared for it ever since. I have service, repair and maintenance records as well as the details of a complete mechanical restoration from 1999. The car has only traveled 870 miles since then. The car had 52319 miles on it when it has this restoration completed. This would give the car about 53000 original miles. I have just had the car serviced with a fresh battery, complete change of fluids, new A/C compressor and a safety check. It runs and drives great! Of course its numbers matching and has the spare wire wheel and jacking tools. Everything works in the car with the exception of the Radio.

The body is in great condition. Not only are there no signs of rust, but the work orders for the bare metal repaint also shows no rust repair needed. The floors are original and have their original undercoating.

The soft top is Haartz cloth and in new condition. The boot is also in new condition.

The leather seats, door panels and carpets present great and look fresh.

The chrome looks bright and fresh, although I did spot one tiny area on one of the front bumpers that is beginning to show some age.

The wire wheels are great with terrific chrome and excellent tires.

The Factory Hard Top has probably never been used and had been stored in the back of the garage all of these years, but unfortunately it suffered some surface scratches and chips along the way. The interior and headliner of the top is still remarkably good. The latches show no signs of use.

Features include:
4 speed manual transmission
Factory Air Conditioning
Haartz Cloth top
Factory Removable Hard Top
5 Wire Wheels

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
