Typical Male Baby Boomer who fell in love with E-Types back in the late 60's early 70's. First one was '68 2+2. A great car to learn about mechanics and how to improvise in time of need and with little funds. It's great to finally have the means to pursue a childhood love. (email)Updated November 13th, 2007. As of 2006 the car is going through a complete nut and bolt restoration. Hope to be completed by mid-2007.

Seller's description:
Its time to sell my 1974 XKE V12 convertible. The car was originally sold to a doctor in Atlanta, who had it until 1998. The car was still in Atlanta when I purchased it in January 2001. Since that time, the car has remained in the Seattle/Tacoma, WA area. The original sales invoice and years of receipts still remain with the car. In mid 2000’s a full restoration was undertaken with complete stripping to bare metal. The engine was delivered to Autosport in Seattle for a complete rebuild. The body went to Paramount Centre in Fife and was repainted in the original Azure Blue. The rear IRS was rebuilt including new suspension parts and powder coating. The original gearbox was replaced with a new Medatronics JT5 5-speed. The radiator was replaced with a new aluminum Howie Racing radiator. The rack and pinion unit was rebuilt. Many, many components have been replaced with new. The car comes with both a soft top and a hardtop. I do not have a full inventory of parts but, almost all are accounted for either with original or new replacement parts. Due to personal business demands, I was not personally able to continue with the restoration. Around 2007, Mark Jones and the great folks at Britsport of Seattle took over the project. They were able to progress the restoration to its present stage before my divorce brought it to a screeching halt in 2010. At that point, the car was put into storage on a lift, (as seen in the photos). Over these last 9 years, I have remarried, started a new family, had major challenges in business and now have come to a realization, I will never be able to enjoy this car once it is completed. Therefore, its time to sell this project as is, where is. Again, there is no complete written inventory of all items but, the car was completely stripped with most everything preserved, rebuilt or replaced with new. More examples of items replaced with new are; carpet sets, (interior and trunk) springs & shocks, exhaust system, duel fuel pump, brakes, drivers and passenger floor pan, etc., etc.
