Unmolested Example
Final Year of Legendary Etypes
The Car: Even after 50 years, the lines and design of the Etype is still as fresh and modern as can be. This example is wearing what appears to be its factory applied British Racing Green exterior with an interior of light saddle tan leather. A recently replaced tan soft top fits snug and covers the bows just as developed and installed at the shop in Coventry. Although this car does have some miles showing, it appears that there has never been any body repairs or replacements. Under the hood displays well but does show a patina of use. The dashboard is fitted with Blaupunkt period AMFM radio, as well as heater and a full assortment of gauges. With the factory chrome steel wheels and a fresh set of tires, this is a Jaguar that is ready to enjoy a drive along the coastline, or a quiet picnic in the part.

Ebay item 7/10/16
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-E-Type-V12-4-SPD-MATCHING-S-SERIES-III-ROADSTER-/3816972 ...
Current bid US $60,000 reserve not met 1 bid 6 days left in auction, buy it now price $79,500, seller westcoastclassics, 29k miles. Car now said to be located in Santa Monica, California.
Sellers description:
West Coast Classics are proud to present an absolutely exceptional and very rare barn-fresh (garage really!) find of a virtually completely original apart from one re-paint in its original striking and most classic of color combinations, 'British Racing Green' with a classic 'Tan' leather interior 1974 Jaguar XKE E-Type V12 Series III Roadster! A completely rust free example of this coveted last year of the legendary E-Type Jaguar - a 1974 Jaguar XKE Series III convertible roadster with its original matching #'s (7S16666LA) V12 engine with reportedly only 29k original miles, its original and very desirable 4 speed manual transmission and with all of it's original factory specifications and options including original light tan leather interior and carpets, AM radio, power steering and air conditioning! This is a very rare factory 4 speed and air conditioned car and this beauty still boasts all five original chrome disc wheels with 4 brand new BF Goodrich tires and with its original spare wheel in the trunk and a matching tan convertible top and tonneau cover!
Recently purchased from the long time owner with a reportedly 29K original miles. The car's engine runs as smooth as silk and the 4 speed transmission shifts smoothly through the gears and the car drives exactly as it should with such low original miles. We have had the car serviced at 'Frank McLain & Sons', renown independent British car specialists of Encino, CA where the car's carburetors were removed and rebuilt, the power steering rack, the rear fuel & air filters, power steering return & pressure hoses, power steering pump & the return fuel gauge sender unit, lower fluid reservoir, the radiator & coolant hoses & pipes & floats were all removed and either repaired or replaced, over $5,500 by us spent to ensure trouble free driving for the car's new owner.
The car has no rust whatsoever with the floor boards and all the typical rust-prone areas completely original, solid and rust-free! The car shows no signs of any accidents of any kind and has a completely straight body with only very minor imperfections, if any, noticeable upon very close inspection. The car looks extremely impressive with its repainted in the classic 'British Racing Green' color paint and the car still boasts it's original tan color leather interior with the seats and carpets having been reupholstered in their original colors and the interior has only very minor imperfections for its age with the door panels, headliner, dashboard, seats and carpets all in very fine condition. The original tan color soft top headliner still boasts its extremely rare and rarely seen or known original factory 'Tilt seats before lowering or raising top' riveted plate still in place and the cars has a matching tonneau cover which is also in very fine shape. The factory chrome disc wheels are also in great shape and the car has it's original spare wire wheel located in the trunk which of note has its all original wood trunk lining and the spare wheel compartment is all in remarkably intact and all original unspoilt condition.
This is a rare opportunity to own a completely rust free example of an obviously always garaged and virtually completely stock 1974 Jaguar XKE V12 Series III Roadster with its original matching #'s engine and 4 speed manual transmission with power steering and air conditioning and leather seats in very fine condition throughout with reportedly only 29K original miles - owned for many years by only one mature and careful owner! Although not a concours or fully restored example, this remains an even rarer and probably these days more desirable virtually all original rust free and unabused V12 E-Type Jaguar Series III Roadster and it is the perfect candidate for the Jaguar enthusiast to collect as a rust free true all stock survivor or a perfect and easy candidate for a ground up restoration!
